==Gameplay==
''A Mission Through Time'' is a real-time RPG. The plays as {{Link|SpongeBob}}, can move with the arrow keys, and interact with items by pressing the space bar. Various items can be collected and traded to NPCs to progress through the game. There is also a combat system, where SpongeBob can buy weapons from [[Clamu]]'s shop and use them against enemies. SpongeBob has three hit points and can restore health by collecting hearts.

The game starts at [[Shady Shoals Rest Home]]. Man Ray and {{Link|Plankton}} have teamed up to steal the [[Krabby Patty secret formula|Krabby Patty recipe]]. SpongeBob and {{Link|Patrick}} want to go back in time to find the younger versions of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy to help out, but he ends up being sent to the far future after he uses [[Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy's time machine|the time machine]]. After battling his way through the [[Man Ray timeline]], he ends up in the prehistoric era, and then the present day.
