- The dub is recorded in São Paulo, a city who's dubbing studios are known for dubbing many pre-school cartoons and also animes into Brazilian Portuguese.
- SpongeBob's Brazilian voice actor, Wendel Bezerra, is the Brazilian voice of the character Goku from the anime series Dragon Ball, and also CEO (owner until 2023, when the studio was bought by Iyuno and co-owner until 2019, with his brother Ulisses Bezerra) of Unidub, the dub's current studio.
- Squidward's Brazilian name "Lula Molusco" means "Squid Mollusc" in Portuguese.
