'''John Andrew Overtoom''' (born {{Time|May 27}}, {{Time|1962}}; age {{Age|1962|5|27}}) is a former {{SBSP}} crew member. He worked as an animation director and sheet timer from [[Season 1|seasons 1]]-[[Season 8|8]], and returned to the franchise in [[season 12]], ''[[The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run]]'', and {{TPSS}}.

He was usually paired up with [[Paul Tibbitt]], [[Walt Dohrn]], and [[Kent Osborne]] during its [[Season 2|second]] and [[Season 3|third]] seasons, and split the director role with him and [[Tom Yasumi]]. From seasons [[Season 4|4]]-8 and after returning in season 12, he is one of the main animation directors along with Yasumi and [[Alan Smart]], later joined by [[Michelle Bryan]] in mid-season 12. During [[season 13]]'s "[[Karen for Spot]]," he was teamed with [[Dave Cunningham]] before he would eventually retire from the series and his duties as a animation director were replaced by [[Eric Bryan]]. The final episode he worked on was [[season 15]]'s "[[Biscuit Ballyhoo]]."
