The '''Cephalopod Lodge''' is a type of club for [[Octopus|cephalopods]] like {{Link|Squidward}}, who was a member along with many other octopuses, squids, and cuttlefish. It appears in [[Cephalopod Lodge|the episode of the same name]] and the mobile game ''[[SpongeBob Adventures: In a Jam!]]''

====Exterior====
It is a brown pyramid with an eye in the middle. The top of the pyramid is light brown and has a very dusty, old appearance as a building.

====Interior====
The inside looks very Egyptian-like with golden walls and golden statues. It also seems to have one central room where initiations are practiced.

===Practices===

The lodge has several practices that are similar to Masonic Practices, such as an initiation ceremony. The ceremony consists mainly of the initiate facing his or her greatest fear, a moray eel. They approach the eel and allow it to sting them. Once this is completed, they initiate is considered a member of the Cephalopod Lodge.

They dress in red robes with a gold neck-piece and a red gold-lined, deacon-like hat with an eye on it, like the Freemason and Illuminati symbol. They appear to be secretive about their practices, as they expel Squidward from the lodge when {{Link|SpongeBob}} and {{Link|Patrick}} follow him and witness the initiation ceremony.

===Role in episode===
When SpongeBob was wondering what makes Squidward happy on the third Wednesday of each month, SpongeBob and Partrick secretly follow him to the lodge, but Squidward is kicked out when everyone finds that the outsiders seen their initiation and accidentally reveals that he knows them. Later, SpongeBob and Patrick two dress up an eel with a sock then scare everyone at the lodge, Squidward defeats it and gets reinstated, but SpongeBob and Patrick reveal themselves too early. Squidward is once again expelled.

*Like [[Tentacle Acres]] in the episode "[[Squidville]]," non-cephalopods, mostly [[sponge]]s and [[sea star]]s are forbidden to step foot at The Cephalopod Lodge, especially because of most cephalopods' hatred and prejudice against sponges and sea stars. Any cephalopods who are "friends" with a sponge and/or sea star are banished from the lodge.
**However, in ''[[SpongeBob Adventures: In a Jam!]]'', they seemed to have toned down their prejudice attitude towards them and allowed SpongeBob and Patrick to help repair the damages to their lodge. 

===Errors===
*When Squidward first enters this lodge, he enters a large room, but when he saves the members from the "eel," it is some kind of corridor.
