'''Clam Codex''' (formerly '''Buddy Codex''') is an index that appears in ''[[SpongeBob Simulator]]''. It give players information about all the [[buddies]] in the game and is one of the main features of the game. The player can get many rewards from completing the Clam Codex. There is also the Rainbow Codex which functions the same as the Clam Codex but requiring rainbow buddies for rewards.

==Description==
===Clam Codex===
The basic Clam Codex is located at [[Spawn]], the Rainbow Codex 1 is located in [[Vacation World]], and the Rainbow Codex 2 is located at [[Western World]]. It used to have a completely different look, visibly being a machine during beta testing and it used to be called "Buddy Codex." It is now a giant book.

===Rainbow Codex 1===
It is found at Area 22, to use it, the player can go around the circle of it. The player will be given a list of each zone, with each of their Legendary and Mythical buddies.

The player is tasked to collect each buddy listed, getting Golf Mr. Krabs once 100% completion is reached.

===Rainbow Codex 2===
To use the second Rainbow Codex, the player must approach it and step in the circle around it. The player will be given a list of each zone, with each of their Legendary and Mythical buddies. It is located at Area 49.

The player is tasked to collect each buddy listed, getting Football Squidward once 100% completion is reached.

To complete Conch Street's codex, the player must collect all the buddies there. For the Flower Clam completed, the player can get the +5% [[Doubloons]] Earned perk. For the Golden Flower Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the basic SpongeBob buddy. 

For the Sea Weed Clam completed, the player can get the +5% [[Rubies]] Earned perk. For the Golden Sea Weed completed, the player can get the golden variant of the basic Mr. Krabs buddy. 

For the Shell Clam completed, the player can get a free large stardust bottle. For the Golden Shell Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Kah-Rah-Tae SpongeBob buddy.

Having it all completing will reward the player an extra buddy slot.

====[[Jellyfish Fields (SpongeBob Simulator)|Jellyfish Fields]]====
To complete Jellyfish Fields' codex, the player must collect all the buddies there. For the Coral Flower Clam completed, the player can get the +1% Magnet Range perk. For the Golden Coral Flower Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Soccer SpongeBob buddy.

For the Tentacle Clam completed, the player can get the +5% Player Speed perk. For the Golden Tentacle Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Jellien Squidward buddy.

For the Jellyfish Clam completed, the player can get the a large stardust bottle. For the Golden Jellyfish Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the SpongeGar buddy.

Having it all completed will reward the player a huge stardust bottle.

To complete Downtown Bikini Bottom's codex, the player must collect all the buddies there. For the Muffler Clam completed, the player can get the +5% Player Jump perk. For the Golden Muffler Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Aloha SpongeBob buddy.

For the Lighthouse Clam completed, the player can get the +5% Buddy Power perk. For the Golden Lighthouse Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Robot SpongeBob buddy.

For the Anchor Clam completed, the player can get the a large stardust bottle. For the Golden Anchor Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Hydro-Dynamic Spatula SpongeBob buddy.

Having it all completed will reward the player an extra buddy slot.

To complete Kelp Forest's codex, the player must collect all the buddies there. For the Vine Clam completed, the player can get a large stardust bottle. For the Golden Vine Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Fishing SpongeBob buddy.

For the Sand Spiked Clam completed, the player can get the +5% Buddy Power perk. For the Golden Sand Spiked Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Camper Squidward buddy.

Having it all completed will reward the player a huge stardust bottle.

To complete Goo Lagoon's codex, the player must collect all the buddies there. For the Lifeguard Clam completed, the player can get a large stardust bottle. For the Golden Lifeguard Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Lifeguard SpongeBob buddy.

For the Concert Clam completed, the player can get the +5% Buddy Power perk. For the Golden Concert Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Surfer Mr. Krabs buddy.

Having it all completed will reward the player an extra buddy slot.

To complete Bottom Feeder Lane's codex, the player must collect all the buddies there. For the Bucket Clam completed, the player can get a large stardust bottle. For the Golden Bucket Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Fast Food Patrick buddy.

For the Krabby Patty Clam completed, the player can get the +5% Buddy Power perk. For the Golden Krabby Patty Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Construction Mr. Krabs buddy.

Having it all completed will reward the player a huge stardust bottle.

To complete Vacation World's codex, the player must collect all the buddies there. For the Vacation Clam completed, the player can get a large stardust bottle. For the Golden Vacation Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Vacation Squidward buddy.

For the Coconut Clam completed, the player can get the +5% Buddy Power perk. For the Golden Coconut Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Enchanted Coconut buddy.

Having it all completed will reward the player an extra buddy slot.

To complete Dream World's codex, the player must collect all the buddies there. For the Dram World Clam completed, the player can get a large stardust bottle. For the Golden Dream World Clam completed, the player can get the golden variant of the Dreamworld Gary buddy.

To complete the first Rainbow Codex, the player must get all the rainbow Conch Street buddies, which rewards 10 huge stardust bottles, all the rainbow Jellyfish Fields buddies, which rewards a Medieval SpongeBob buddy, all the rainbow Downtown Bikini Bottom buddies, which rewards a Super Guardian Clam, all the rainbow Kelp Forest buddies, which rewards 10 huge stardust bottles, all the rainbow Goo Lagoon buddies, which rewards a Medieval Squidward buddy, all the rainbow Bottom Feeder Lane buddies, which rewards a Boss Guardian Clam, and all the rainbow Vacation World buddies, which rewards a Wheel Guardian super buddy.

Completing the entire first Rainbow Codex will reward the Golf Mr. Krabs buddy.

====Area 49====
To complete the second Rainbow Codex, the player must get all the rainbow Mermalair buddies, which rewards 10 huge stardust bottles, all the rainbow Medieval World buddies, which rewards the Blue Crested Blaster buddy, all the rainbow Rock Bottom buddies, which rewards a Super Hero Clam, all the rainbow Atlantis buddies, which rewards 10 huge stardust bottles, and all the Western World buddies, which rewards the Robot Gary buddy.

Completing the second first Rainbow Codex will reward the Football Squidward buddy.
