A native of the Lehigh Valley region of Pennsylvania, Snyder grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1992 and Webster University in Missouri. He claims to be "slightly dyslexic." He has been married since {{Time|2005}} to Christine "Sweetie" Snyder, who has made frequent appearances in his official podcast.

Snyder was hired to voice Master Shake on the {{W|Adult Swim}} animated television series ''{{W|Aqua Teen Hunger Force}}'', auditioning during a phone call to {{W|Dave Willis}}. Snyder provided the voice of [[w:c:chowder:Gazpacho|Gazpacho]] on ''{{W|Chowder (TV series)|Chowder}}'', Todd and Benny Lee on the {{W|G4 (American TV network)|G4TV}} show ''{{W|Code Monkeys}}'', "The Alchemist" on ''{{W|The Venture Bros.}}'', and Granny Cuyler on ''{{W|Squidbillies}}''. He voices Leonard the Koala in ''{{W|The Penguins of Madagascar}}'' and plays a teacher named "Mr. Baldwin" on the Disney series ''[[w:c:fishhooks:Fish Hooks|Fish Hooks]]''.
