==Gameplay==
{{Link|SpongeBob}} is trapped in the {{Link|Flying Dutchman}}'s [[Flying Dutchman's ship|ship]] and now the ship is rising to the surface and the sea water is running out. If he sees the light of day, our soggy hero will dry out, a truly frightening prospect! Help SpongeBob get out of the Flying Dutchman's haunted wreck before he becomes all dried up.

Press the right arrow key to run right, free the left arrow key to run left. Go down thin pipe passages by running towards one and pressing down repeatedly to slide down the thin pipe passage. If you get caught in the fish skeletons, press right and left repeatedly to get free. Watch out for the Flying Dutchman and bat, they will distract you by scaring you. There are four pickups along the way placed randomly:
*[[Krabby Patty]] - Boosts the player's score.
*Slugs - Slime SpongeBob with sea slugs and squeeze through tight passages.
*Pumpkin - Jack-o-lanterns disguise SpongeBob from enemies. This makes the enemies think he is scary too. '''Note:''' The player cannot go down pipe passages with a jack-o-lantern on.
*SpongeBob face icon - Gives the player an extra life.

If the player makes SpongeBob dry up too many times and loses all the remaining lives, they lose the game, and SpongeBob will stay on the Flying Dutchman's plate. If the player escapes through enough exits, SpongeBob is no longer trapped on the Flying Dutchman's ship and the player wins the game.

===General===
*The Flying Dutchman's lines "Who be disturbin' the Flying Dutchman's own lair?" and "Welcome back!" are reused from "Shanghaied." SpongeBob's scream whenever he gets scared by the Flying Dutchman or bat is reused from the same episode.
*During the gameplay, a candy will randomly appear at the top of the screen. If the player clicks on it, a jump scare will occur.

**Entering the code "Sun" will change the Krabby Patty into Pancakes.
**Entering the code "Pow" will take SpongeBob to a bonus stage before the exit. He has to collect as many Krabby Patties/Pancakes as he can and earn bonus points.
**Entering the code "Find" will change the water to a red color.
**Entering the code "Reset" will reset everything back to normal.
