It is a bubble that is shaped like a hippo. The bubble hippo holds a bubble cane and wears a bubble hat on its head. Its stomach is fatter in "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout."
In "Who R Zoo?," he appears as a quadruped like real hippos, and lacks his hat.
