In the episode, SpongeBob said he needs some help from his uncle, he needs a crime fighter like him to save Mother SquarePants, Grandma SquarePants and Father SquarePants from Cousin BlackJack SquarePants. That means Uncle Cap'n Blue must be a police man in his days.

Uncle Cap’n Blue is very lazy, but it could probably be because he's retired. His son used to be much bigger than him. Uncle Cap’n Blue also enjoys drinking Clam Tomato Chowder Juice, and listening to classic music with his Record Player.

Looks

Uncle Cap’n Blue is SpongeBob's Uncle yet he is shaped like a sea sponge (SpongeBob is shaped like a kitchen Sponge). Uncle Cap’n Blue has holes all over his body as do all the SquarePants Family. He is light brown in color. Uncle Cap'n Blue and SpongeBob's teeth look the same. He wears a cap and has a grey beard. His name comes from his Blue Cap that he wears all the time.
