Captain Douglas P. QuasarTemplate:Data:References is a space captain who first appears in the episode "Lost in Couch."

Description

He is a purple shark who wears a white and cyan space suit with darker blue sleeves, and has yellow eyes. He also wears a water helmet on his head. Quasar is shown to be one of two protagonists of an in-universe TV series.

"Lost in Couch"

He is seen in the show Template:Data:Links and Template:Data:Links are watching, where he is locked out of the spaceship S.S. Super Minnow. He tells Pat-Tron to get the door for him, but he refuses. He gets angry, but Pat-Tron still refuses because he says the captain always has his keys. Then. he gets hit by the rocket multiple times because Pat-Tron keeps trying to "find" him.

"Terror at 20,000 Leagues"

Dr. Plankenstein, Pat-gor, and SpongeMonster watch Quasar: The Movie: Dark Side of the Spoon. In the movie, Pat-Tron discovers a robot alien is included in his cereal box, and after eating it, gives birth to it. The box says that the robot alien can kill all the crew members, which makes Captain Doug Quasar nervous. The alien tries to kill Captain Doug Quasar, so he tries to get rid of it, but Pat-Tron won't let him since he is his father now. The alien continues to try to kill the captain, so despite Pat-Tron's pleads, he attempts to open a hatch to make the alien get out of the ship. But the alien corners him and sends Quasar into outer space instead.

"Just in Time for Christmas"

Captain Doug Quasar and Pat-Tron are in the future trying to pick out a Christmas tree. Pat-Tron offers Captain Doug Quasar a laser, but he turns it down thinking he can use his bare hands. Patrick comes and asks Pat-Tron for the laser because he thinks is it a shaver he can give to Template:Data:Links for Christmas. When the trees start attacking Quasar, he asks Pat-Tron for the laser, but Pat-Tron just whistles knowing he gave the laser to Patrick. At the end of the episode, Quasar attempts to get the laser from Patrick back, but Patrick gives him "a gift" instead. Quasar thanks Patrick and along with the other time travelers, tries to kiss Patrick and Squidina when they wear the mistletoe hat.

"Mid-Season Finale"

Quasar makes a silent cameo during the scene where Patrick fast-forwards through the show. He is seen wielding a laser gun, fighting off a mutant ant-like creature in space.

"Shrinking Stars"

He comes during an episode of The Patrick Show!, along with Pat-Tron. Quasar does not appreciate Patrick's jokes and tells Pat-Tron to stop laughing at them. When Pat-Tron shrinks the Stars, Quasar lies to the audience that he will unshrink them with a growth ray in his ship, but takes the opportunity to leave instead.

"The Patrick Show Sells Out"

Quasar appears in a Krusty Krab-sponsored episode of his show, The Pattyverse Paradox. He and Pat-Tron see the "tastiest planet ever," themed after Krabby Patties, and go to investigate it. Pat-Tron begins eating all the Krabby Patty plants on the planet and bumps into Quasar, to his annoyance. Suddenly, Plankton takes control of Pat-Tron and calls out the sketch for its shilling. He shoots a laser at Quasar, slams him against the ground, and throws him away.

"The Starry Awards"

A picture of Quasar and Pat-Tron appears when Patrick shows the nominees for Best Cutaway Segment. However, they lose to Dr. Plankenstein, SpongeMonster, and Pat-gor.

"Blorpsgiving"

After Pat-Tron accidentally blows up the Saladarians' planet, Quasar escapes with him to Tron-Tron, where he struggles to endure in Blorpsgiving festivities and falls in love with Pat-Tron's cousin, Inga-Tron. Quasar plans to marry her, but the manic preparations for the wedding cause him to be frightened and escape from the planet with Pat-Tron.

"The Patrick Show Cashes In"

On Squidina's infomercial, Quasar shows up and tries to sell Pat-Tron, passing off his stupidity and constant use of lasers as positives. Quasar repeatedly lowers the price until he starts begging the audience to get rid of him, at which point the infomercial cuts out.

"Dr. Smart Science"

Quasar is informed of an anomaly with Saturn, and when he goes to check, he sees Patrick devouring the planet's rings. He plans to take down Patrick with his weaponry, but Patrick overtakes his ship in size and swallows it whole.

"Big Baby Patrick"

A cartoon called Captain Quasar in Diapers shows Quasar as a baby. He is too small to reach a lever to defend himself against King Saladrian, making him cry. However, King Saladrian finds Quasar too cute to attack. Quasar teams up with Pat-Tron to reach the lever and blast the ship, then flies away.
