This DVD was released on the same exact day as Nick Picks Volume 1.
The front cover reads "Includes 8 Krabby Capers!" even though "I'm Your Biggest Fanatic" has nothing to do with the Krusty Krab nor Template:Data:Links.
The back cover of this DVD contains pictures from these episodes:

Advertisements in this DVD case are advertisements for other Nickelodeon DVDs and VHS tapes (also known as "videos") for As Told by Ginger: Far from Home (VHS and DVD), All Grown Up!: Interview With a Campfire (VHS and DVD), Drake & Josh: Volume 1: Suddenly Brothers (VHS and DVD), Nick Picks Volume 1 (DVD only), and The Fairly OddParents: Timmy's Top Wishes (VHS and DVD). Animatics on this DVD provide only certain scenes and not the entire episodes.
This DVD was re-released sometime in 2011.
This is the first SpongeBob DVD to contain season 4 episodes.
This is the last SpongeBob DVD release to use the impact font cover style. The next DVD called Absorbing Favorites has the Nickelodeon splat part, but the title font is different from impact.
The Japanese cover has red and green colored text, the part that is white on the American cover is orange, and the Nickelodeon logo used is the one used from Friend or Foe? to Season 5 Volume 2.
Region 2 and 4 releases remove all of the special features.

On the menu of the special features, "Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy V" is labelled as "Superfriends," which is the episode's working title. However, it is listed as its final title on the back of the DVD and on the menu of the bonus episodes.
On the DVD cover, half of Dr. Peter Lankton's body is cut off. On the special features menu, his full body can be seen.
