==When SpongeBob Was Great==
- The Golden Age was seasons 1, 2, 3, and the movie. from 1999 to 2004.
- Every episode from seasons 1 to 3 were fabulous. They all had an original and classic idea as a plot story. Even only ONE line of dialogue was really popular, especially words that Patrick said.
- They used to have Mrs. Puff and Sandy and Gary more often in the old episodes. But after the movie, about only 1 out of 100 episodes in seasons 4 to present contain them.
My Favorite Episodes
Why SpongeBob Isn't Great Today
- Every NEW character that comes in and plays a big role in the episode are boring, such as Craig Mammalton, the Sea Hag, and the "get-outta-town" salesman.
- Almost every episode now repeats one scene all over and over again only with a few differences, such as in Slide Whistle Stooges and Gullible Pants and the episode where Mr. Krabs used Gary to magnetize coins. The plot has no stop in changing.
- Some episodes have really simple and boring stories, like in The Krusty Plate where SpongeBob tries to clean a dirty plate. HOW SIMPLE IS THAT??!
- SpongeBob and Patrick even act like they're mentally challenged so much that even the most basic knowledge is too hard for them to understand. Now the show acts like it follows 2 idiots who are so stupid they try to "discover" knowledge but always fail. That's not the kind of show Hillenburg had in mind. His ideas were that SpongeBob and Patrick were so optimistic and more playful than all the other characters that their quest for more fun and organizing their lives makes them funny.
- The plots are not as funny anymore and the new writers aren't really taking time to focus on the episodes' quality, they just think whatever SpongeBob appears in will get high ratings.
- All the new songs and music are terrible. The F.U.N. Song, the Alphabet Song, the Striped Sweater Song, the Indoors Song, the Campfire Song Song, I'm A Goofy Goober, and Now That We're Men were fabulous luxuries for the ears. The songs are getting even worse and stupid such as Twinkle Twinkle Patrick Star (on purpose to be terrible), Yippee Kie-Yay, and the Atlantis Squarepantis songs.
- Mr. Krabs has become a bigger jerk than before. Even though he was still greedy and cheap in seasons 1 to 3, people loved him because he was funny. But now, he's just gone mad like B.P. Richfield and/or Mr. Burns when he just pays SpongeBob "Wacky Bucks" instead of real money and he looks even more like a idiot than in seasons 1 to 3.
- There's even weirder drawing which are horrible experiments by the show's producers. SpongeBob and Patrick often are drawn really weird such as being dressed like hippies in the episode where Plankton puts a highway in Jellyfish Fields. Patrick is also dressed up like a girl in That's No Lady and everybody was stupid enough to think Patrick is a girl.
- All because of these reasons, SpongeBob is starting to become more like a situational comedy and not like a slapstick comedy. Apparently, SpongeBob's now become a lot more similar to the Nickelodeon shows iCarly, Big Time Rush, Victorous, and Bucket & Skinner. SpongeBob was so much more better when the show used to air on the same schedule with the other slapstick cartoons on Nickelodeon such as INVADER ZIM, Catdog, Chalkzone, and Rugrats.
