What's up? Call me Ari. I am a long-time fan of SpongeBob SquarePants. I've been watching it with my two older sisters ever since I was, probably just barely old enough to even talk at all, which was when the show first debuted. I have grown into a fan myself as I got older. Which season(s) do I favor? Easy and obvious: the original three seasons, especially Season 1. I'm not gonna lie, the main reason I enjoy the first season the most is that I am a sucker for traditional cel animation, and I love seeing the early days of the series, including the pilot episode. Seasons 2 and 3 are great as well, including the (not) "Lost Episode", which to me comes off as practically the original series finale, before the movie, due to the ending in the last Patchy the Pirate scene. I may be wrong though. I also think the first movie from 2004 (which was actually supposed to mark the series' finale) was as good as gold as well. When I watched Seasons 4-7 as a kid, I didn't know any better until I got the entire first season (which at the time and still is to this day is my favorite season) on DVD when I was in fifth grade. That's when I learned that the fourth season onwards (with a few exceptions after Season 8 or 9 according to several other fans) really wasn't that great at all. My favorite character? Squidward Tentacles. While he has faulty artistic talents as well as being so horrible at the clarinet, he is absolutely relatable. Funnily enough, he has the same birthday (month and day) as Sesame Street's Count von Count (another fictional character I insanely adore): October 9th. Strange isn't it? So that means that Squidward is a Libra, just like me, apparently (my birthday is October 21st). Anyhow, while SpongeBob may be fun-loving and goofy and Patrick is not very bright (both were still lovable during the original era), I can't help but feel sorry for Squidward (especially in episodes after the first movie). Anyway, nice to meet y'all.
