Besides the musical industry, Andy also composed musical pieces for some animated series, such as ''The Ren & Stimpy Show'', ''Camp Lazlo'', and, most notably, ''SpongeBob SquarePants''.
 
Initially, he joined ''[[The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie]]'', serving as a songwriter for "[[The Best Day Ever (song)|The Best Day Ever]]" along with [[Tom Kenny]]. Their collaboration on that song eventually led to them becoming close friends. They would continue composing songs together until Andy's death.
 
Two years later, Andy was asked to work on ''SpongeBob'' again. He composed some music cues for an episode "[[Best Day Ever]]" in which his song of the same name was also used. After that, he left the show and only returned to it after thirteen years. Besides ''SpongeBob'', he also took part in ''Kamp Koral'' composing some pieces for that show as well.
