The beard is a sea urchin who appears in the episodes "Squidward's School for Grown-Ups" and "Home Sweet Rubble."

Description

He is much larger and hairier than an ordinary sea urchin. He is brown and wears a green bow tie.

"Squidward's School for Grown-Ups"

When Template:Data:Links wakes up after falling asleep on the side of the road, he suddenly realizes that he has a beard. Template:Data:Links notices the beard and attempts to teach Patrick how to be more mature. Patrick starts participating in more mature activities with Squidward, such as visiting fancy locations around Bikini Bottom. When Template:Data:Links, Patrick, and Squidward visit The Famed Bikini Bottom Opera House, SpongeBob pretends to be an opera singer and Patrick starts crying while SpongeBob is singing. While Patrick is crying, it is revealed that the beard is actually a sea urchin in hibernation. The sea urchin wakes up as a result of Patrick's tears, and angrily tears off Patrick's face regretting choosing that spot to hibernate.

"Home Sweet Rubble"

During Patrick's dream, he appears in two pictures on the walls of an office building.

Trivia

• The beard ironically caused the events of Squidward's School for Grown-Ups, as he thought Patrick's face was a perfect spot to hibernate until Patrick's tears starting dripping on him, therefore implying that the beard has impulsiveness.
