| Dame Mackerel hasn’t made many appearances in the series. She had been retired from the series ever since her appearance in the episode "[[Patty Hype]]" (not counting her storyboard appearance in "[[Christmas Who?]]"), but she then made a comeback in [[season 12]], starting with the episode "[[Patrick's Tantrum]]" after a 19-year absence. She was firstly designed to be a minor character that was known as the "lady fish with parasol" where she was a victim of {{Link|SpongeBob}} and {{Link|Patrick}}'s "alien hunting." She later eventually became one of the incidental characters.
