Character

The Feather Friends is a club that Template:Data:Links and Template:Data:Links create in order to cheer up Template:Data:Links after he is banned from coming back to the Cephalopod Lodge in the episode of the same name.

Role in episode

One day, Squidward joins the Cephalopod Lodge. This makes him happy on every third Wednesday of every month, when the Lodge meets.

During the episode, SpongeBob and Patrick follow him to an initiation in the lodge. When Roger spots them, they are kicked out and Squidward is banned.

On the way home, SpongeBob and Patrick create a new club for Squidward, of which he will be leader. The next day, Squidward gets chicken robes delivered to him from the "Feather Friends." Squidward does not accept being part of this club and wishes to be let back into the Cephalopod Lodge.

Once another attempt fails at letting Squidward back into the lodge, SpongeBob suggests that they still have the Feather Friends and force him to perform the initiation again, causing him to scream.

Trivia

The club was originally going to be called "Feather Buddies," but SpongeBob stated that another club was already using that name and they pretty much have a feud with that club for taking that name already.
This is the third episode where SpongeBob and Patrick form a club with Squidward as a reluctant member. The first two episodes are "Club SpongeBob" and "Good Neighbors."

Although not a member, Mr. Krabs has a costume in his closet as seen in the episode "My Two Krabses."
