- Despite being said the Primitive Sponge was returning, a new cave sponge appeared instead.
- The fourth wall is broken when at the end when Spongy Spongy hits the screen with his club, causing it to crack.
- This is the fourth time SpongeBob goes to jail. The first was in "Life of Crime," second was in "Party Pooper Pants," and the third was in "Driven to Tears."
