Cetaphobia is the fear of whales, such as Pearl Krabs. Template:Data:Links has cetophobia, and addresses it in multiple episodes.

Role in series

"One Coarse Meal"

Template:Data:Links finds out about Plankton's cetaphobia and uses it to traumatize him, first by making Pearl break into the Chum Bucket to scare Plankton, and Plankton has nightmares because of his cetaphobia. When Pearl realizes what Mr. Krabs is doing, Mr. Krabs disguises himself as Pearl and nearly drives Plankton to suicide.

"Patnocchio"

Plankton and Template:Data:Links get eaten by Pearl, and Plankton addresses his phobia and tries to stay calm, and quickly but calmly tries to get out of Pearl's mouth.

"Plankton's Intern"

Plankton is terrified of Pearl when she first shows up at the Chum Bucket, but he calms down after realizing that Pearl simply wants an internship and does not want to harm Plankton.

Trivia

Plankton is not the only character with cetaphobia, his grandfather also has cetaphobia.
