Template:Reference-needed Cetaphobia is the fear of whales, such as Pearl Krabs. Template:Data:Links has cetaphobia, and addresses it in multiple episodes.
Role in series
"One Coarse Meal"
Template:Data:Links finds out about Plankton's cetaphobia and uses it to traumatize him, first by making Pearl break into the Chum Bucket to scare Plankton, and Plankton has nightmares because of his cetaphobia. When Pearl realizes what Mr. Krabs is doing, Mr. Krabs disguises himself as Pearl and nearly drives Plankton to suicide.
"Patnocchio"
Plankton and Template:Data:Links get eaten by Pearl, and Plankton addresses his phobia and tries to stay calm, and quickly but calmly tries to get out of Pearl's mouth.
"The Ghost of Plankton"
The Flying Dutchman transforms into Pearl to scare Plankton.
