Davy Jones (December 30, 1945 - February 29, 2012; aged Template:Age) was a human character who is usually mentioned by Eugene H. Krabs as an insult. He died in 2012 due to a heart attack.

Role in series

He is mentioned in many episodes as "Davy Jones' locker," a place where all bad sea creatures stay in the afterlife, which makes it the underwater equivalent to Hell and the opposite of Atlantis, the underwater equivalent of Heaven.

In "SpongeBob SquarePants vs. The Big One," Davy makes a live-action appearance with the Flying Dutchman, as he sings a few words of 'Daydream Believer,' as he was a member of "The Monkees," the group which originally sang that song. His locker is apparently like any school locker, filled with Davy's gym socks, which have a horrid smell.

In "Born Again Krabs," Template:Data:Links is banished to the locker, but Davy is not there.

"SpongeBob SquarePants vs. The Big One" is his only ever live-action appearance in the series.

Trivia

  • Davy Jones' locker is an idiom used in real life for the bottom of the sea.
