• This marks the brief return of Adam Paloian returning to the series as a storyboard director.
  • This also marks the first time where Paloian serves as that role.
• Monster Island is a concept from the online games Monster Island, Return to Monster Island, and Monster Island Adventures, with Monster Island Adventures even being about working together on a delivery to Monster Island (specifically SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and Squidward delivering an order of Krabby Patties to Octavius Rex there).
• This is the second episode of season 13 to have two enemies work together. The first was "There Will Be Grease."
  • This is the seventh episode of the whole show to have two enemies work together, including "Best Frenemies," "The Other Patty," "Chum Fricassee," "Plankton's Pet," "The Krusty Bucket," and "There Will Be Grease." SpongeBob SquarePants featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water also feature enemies working together.
