Character

The Abominable Snow Mollusk is a huge monster that appears in "Frozen Face Off," SpongeBob's Big Adventures, and SpongeBob's Next Big Adventures. Unlike other monsters shown, it is animated with stop-motion.

Description

The Abominable Snow Mollusk has a grayish-white body with tentacles serving as arms and legs. She also has fur around her neck, fin-like ears, really sharp teeth, and yellow eyes.

History

Template:Data:Links has mentioned that he once encountered the Abominable Snow Mollusk in his past and that he and his crew were eaten by the creature. They had to "wait for nature to take its course" in order to escape its stomach.

When Template:Data:Links and the gang escaped the Abominable Snow Mollusk, it got the taste of Template:Data:Links's last gummy worm. It was then that the monster earned a craving for sweets. When they encountered the monster again, she ate the jelly beans in Patrick's pocket. It then ate Template:Data:Links thinking he was a jelly bean.

Trivia

She is the third creature to be attracted to Patrick because of food. The first was Template:Data:Links in "Dumped" (because of a cookie in Patrick's pocket), and the second was a Lion Fish in "Spongicus" (because of blood sausages hanging from Patrick's neck).
Her name is a parody of the Abominable Snow Monster from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
The Abominable Snow Mollusk marks the second appearance of a stop-motion animated character in the Spongebob franchise, the first being Template:Data:Links in the intro to "Truth or Square", the third being Spongebob, Squidward, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, Pearl Krabs, Mrs. Puff, Sandy Cheeks, Plankton, the Bikini Bottomies, Patchy the Pirate, Potty the Parrot, Santa Claus, and a polar bear in "It's a SpongeBob Christmas!", and the fourth being Bubbles the Talking Dolphin in "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water".
Her stomach appears to be a real one, though the acid appears to be animated.
In SpongeBob's Next Big Adventures game, she is performed in motion-capture technology.
