Object
The abrasive sponge is the abrasive side that SpongeBob acquires in the episode "The Abrasive Side" to give negative answers.
Description
An Abrasive Sponge looks like a lawn, but it has its own mind and character. It bears a resemblance to the rough side of real-life kitchen sponges.
Role in episode
When Patrick sees that SpongeBob is helping everyone, he advises SpongeBob to sometimes say no. SpongeBob goes to his house and starts crying until Gary shows him an abrasive sponge that will allow him to say no. Throughout the episode, abrasive sponge says bad things to SpongeBob's friends, until SpongeBob asks Sandy to help him get rid of the abrasive. At the end of the episode, SpongeBob's grandmother puts on an abrasive sponge, and yells at SpongeBob.
