SpongeBob then drew a crude self portrait, which he christened Doodlebob. Doodlebob proceeded to commit various atrocities (e.g. beating up Squidward, trapping SpongeBob and Patrick in a hole) before being partially destroyed by his creator via rubbing him out with the eraser. However, the arm survived. It tracked down SpongeBob and the "magic pencil", drew himself (adding a pair of angry eyebrows) and then tried to erase SpongeBob. After rubbing out SpongeBob's behind and destroying part of the pineapple, he was stopped after being trapped on a piece of paper. He is now just another drawing, but at least he's happy.

DoodleBob becomes evil, and steals the magic pencil.

Because he was created using a magic pencil (which belonged to a human artist at sea, who accidentally dropped it into Bikini Bottom, Which SpongeBob and Patrick found), DoodleBob came to life. SpongeBob intended to use him to play a harmless prank on Squidward, but when DoodleBob approached Squidward, he turned evil and started to beat him up. SpongeBob and Patrick chased him, and when they cornered him, SpongeBob decided to erase DoodleBob with the magic pencil. However, unknown to SpongeBob and Patrick, SpongeBob had forgotten to erase his arm.

DoodleBob comes to SpongeBob's house at night, and uses the magic pencil to restore himself (and also adds a pair of angry eyebrows). After chasing SpongeBob, erases a portion of his house, and erases some parts of SpongeBob. SpongeBob and DoodleBob struggle on the penicl tug-o-war style, causing it to spilt into two pieces. SpongeBob restores himself, and DoodleBob sharpens his piece of the pencil. DooodleBob corners SpongeBob, but when he steps on a piece of paper, his foot gets stuck to it. When SpongeBob observes this, he gets a sheet of paper and traps DoodleBob's entire body onto it, causing him to smile and then become an ordinary drawing on the paper. SpongeBob then decides to post it onto is wall. Patrick had heard all this noise at SpongeBob's house, so he arrives there to investigate. SpongeBob shows him what happened, and tells him that DoodleBob was an uncomfortable 2-D creature in a 3-D world.
