Eels and Escalators is a board game that SpongeBob and Patrick played in the episode "Sailor Mouth." Patrick kept getting escalators, while SpongeBob kept getting eels. This angered SpongeBob and resulted in him to say bad word number 11 again.
Description
The game has two players, and on the board are four eels and three real escalator pieces, and has a start and finish line.

Rules
- The rules are if you roll 2 eels then you move down the board towards the eels. And if you roll 2 escalators then you go up the escalators.
- If you get 4 eels, you lose. If you get 3 escalators, you win.
Role in the episode
In Sailor Mouth, SpongeBob and Patrick were playing the game at SpongeBob's house after they learned about the bad word and promised they would not say it. SpongeBob kept rolling eels while Patrick kept rolling escalators. After SpongeBob lost the game he used bad word number 11, Patrick went to tell Mr. Krabs but Patrick accidentally said the bad word and they both raced to the Krusty Krab to tell Mr. Krabs about each other.
Trivia
- Eels and escalators is an parody of the real life board game, Snakes and Ladders.
- In "Sailor Mouth" Patrick says Eels and Escalators is his favorite game, but in "Good Ol' Whatshisname," he says it's Parcheesi.
- It is possible that both games are his favorite.
- It is also possible that one of them was his favorite until he learned about the other game.
