Charles is a wealthy man and Foofie is his pampered snail. He and Foofie have won the Bikini Bottom Pet Contest five times in a row until SpongeBob won the competition in the episode Grooming Gary. Foofie has a mustache, as well as Charles does. Charles has a top hat, a tuxedo, and a parasol. Foofie has a shiny golden shell and a diamond collar. Charles tells SpongeBob the only way to prove your pet's beauty is to win the pet contest. But of course, Foofie does not like the over-pampering he has been given by Charles.
