The foot deterrent is an object invented by Plankton which is used to test his ability to withstand being stepped on. It appears in the episode "Single-Celled Defense."
Description
It is a metallic machine featuring a large tube attached to a boot.
Role in episode
After being built by Plankton, he tests the device by wearing a thumbtack-like helmet to see if it stubs the deterrent. It doesn't work, however, it causes the helmet to bend. After multiple attempts, the foot deterrent is destroyed after Plankton's laser helmet leaves a hole in the contraption.
