Fred Rechid is an african-oceanic fish who was the first of the regular generic character models to appear in the series, first being seen in "Reef Blower" but is barely even seen, being only seen in a car as Spongebob zooms past him, and is arguably the most prominently used. He is most often seen at the Krusty Krab. The name "Fred" was used in "Patty Hype". He is voiced by Doug Lawrence. The best way to recognize him is by hearing his most famous quote: "MY LEG!" (The quote first appears in "Hall Monitor") He is seen screaming this phrase out loud in "Arrgh!" when Mr. Krabs throws him out of the Krusty Krab by his legs.
In another episode Fred is seen buying a 'Puffy Fluffy' with his son, Monroe. He is briefly present but is not the voice he usually speaks with.
