Amino for SpongeBob Fans, known as SpongeBob SquarePants Amino or SSA for short, was a community app of the mobile app Amino, rated Template:Ratings. Amino allows users to create communities about varying topics, where passionate fans about the said topic can blog, chat, participate in polls, create challenges, and make events. There is a community on the app called SpongeBob SquarePants, where many SpongeBob fans have joined to express their love for the show.
Due to the success of the Amino, it got a standalone app, where only the SpongeBob community is available, unlike the Amino app. It was only however available for Android, so Apple users had to access it on the Amino app. The application has been removed along with other standalone Amino apps. The community itself has been closed due to being overrun by bots.
Moderation team
SSA was ran by three leaders and one curator. Each Amino has leaders and curators, which keep the community on topic, as well as removing inappropriate content and highlighting the best content. The three leaders were Cosmobo, Rose Frank, and Toonz. The curator was Squeaky Boots.
Trivia
- One of the older logos for SSA depicted the Mocking SpongeBob meme from the episode "Little Yellow Book." The icon was edited by Colli, a former leader of the Amino, known as Collisioned on Encyclopedia SpongeBobia.
- The community was created in 2016 by a member of the Amino app, known as SuperMarioSponge on SSA. However, he was not a member of Team Amino, because anyone can create a community. He went by several other names, such as SuperMarioDash, SuperMarioCraft (Garcia), or SuperMartinCraft.
- Due to the community created within this app, there is an official Discord for SpongeBob Amino known as the SSA Official Discord, which was also created within the Discord App, by SuperMarioSponge.
- There was also an Instagram account for the community, created by another leader of the community: Colli, named spongebobsquareamino, where he and the other moderation team members used to highlight their favorite posts and updates made to the community.
