It's horrid. Oh, no, no, no. It's avant-garde.

— Anchovie incidental, "Neptune's Ball"

The anchovie incidental[1] is a quartet of unnumbered incidental characters who appear in The Patrick Star Show episode "Neptune's Ball." Their incidental type is currently unknown.

Description

They are a quartet of four anchovies who each have their own appearance:

  • One is a brown male anchovy who wears a black suit over a white dress shirt with a red bow tie.
  • One is a blue male anchovy who wears a black suit with a purple bow tie.
  • One is a brown male anchovy with bags under his eyes who wears a brown suit with a white collar and a red bow tie.
  • One is a blue female anchovy with purple eyelids and eyelashes who wears a teal dress and a light pink pearl necklace.

Role in episode

They appear watching the pianist perform with Cecil Star inside his piano making sounds of pain from his playing. One of the anchovie incidentals point out that the music sounds horrid while another one points out that it’s avant-grade.

Trivia

  • They are similar to Incidental 157 who are both a quartet of two blue and brown anchovies.
  • One of the male anchovies is credited as "Sardine 1" while the female one is credited as "Sardine 2."
