Production
This episode was confirmed by Cartoonlounge.de on December 20, 2022.[1]
On March 3, 2023, Vincent Waller stated that the episode had been through the final mixing phase, indicating that it was near completion.[2]
On April 21, 2023, in response to a fan implying the question of why the segment wouldn't premiere on Arbor Day,[3] Waller stated that it was shifted around with other episodes to make way for an extended "special" episode ("Dopey Dick") and a short ("Plankton and the Beanstalk.") However, he believed that when the episodes are released to the public, "folks will be happy we did."[4]
Nearly a week later on April 27, Waller stated that he and the crew approved the final mix of this segment and its sister episode, "Ain't That the Tooth," stating that fans would not have to "wait very long" for the episode to come out.[5]

- The title card background looks similar to the background used in the season 1 episodes "Walking Small" and "Ripped Pants" except that the title card appears to be green rather than yellow.
- This episode will be Sandy's first major role in season 13.
- The last major role she played was in the season 12 episode "A Cabin in the Kelp."
- This is the second Nickelodeon show to have an Arbor Day episode, the first being the Harvey Beaks episode, "Arbor Day".
