Trivia
General
- Unlike what Mr. Krabs says, SpongeBob actually has been late to work in the past.
- Squidward is happy about SpongeBob's presumed death, despite feeling guilty about accidentally sentencing SpongeBob to death in "Dying for Pie."
- When this episode first aired, it was paired up with "Senior Discount." [citation needed]
- The con man says that there's no more models of SpongeBob's alarm clock, but in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, SpongeBob has his alarm clock.
- This Marks Death Clock (C) for the first time since Stuck in the Wringer, 9 in a half years in absence.
Cultural references
- The Persistence of Memory, made by Spanish artist Salvador Dalí, appears when SpongeBob's Rube Goldberg machine is transporting SpongeBob to work.
