Bubble Bass is an overweight bass whos' one major appearance was in "Pickles". Bubble Bass is one of the toughest food critic/inspectors ever to visit the Krusty Krab. The next few two to visit the Krusty Krab who gave some stress were The Health Inspector (Nasty Patty), and Gene Scallop (Krusty Sponge). His most significant appearance is when he asks for a Krabby Patty from the Krusty Krab, and it becomes clear that he is particularly fussy. It is also clear that SpongeBob and Bubble Bass have met before, and that Bubble Bass is merely looking to test SpongeBob's fry cook skills. When Bubble Bass tests a Krabby Patty, and shows to everyone that SpongeBob forgot to put pickles on it, he causes SpongeBob to go into a state of shock, and forces him to take time off, claiming he has forgotten how to make Krabby Patties altogether. However, SpongeBob later achieves his confidence back and resumes his role as fry cook when Bubble Bass returns once again. Again, he orders a Krabby Patty from SpongeBob with pickles, which SpongeBob delivers, only to hear Bubble Bass claim that there are no pickles yet again. However, SpongeBob realizes that Bubble Bass had been hiding the pickles underneath his tongue the entire time, from both Krabby Patties. At the mercy of the angry customers, Bubble Bass makes a break for it before they can punish him for his deceit.

Bubble Bass makes another, minor appearance in "F.U.N.," where he accidentally sits on Plankton and confused him for a jellybean.

Bubble Bass is a very fat green bass who wears an orange tank-top. He also wears glasses and is quite stubby. His lips and other parts of his body are darker green. He has a bit of speech impediment and breathes very deeply, possibly due to his obesity. He is voiced by Dee Bradley Baker.

Trivia

Judging from how Bubble Bass and SpongeBob looked and talked to each other and when Bubble Bass was crushing Plankton (when SpongeBob's friend), it is evident that SpongeBob and Bubble Bass shared something of a rivalry long ago.

Saying Bubble Bass' name is almost like saying "Bubble Bath".

This character makes an appearance in the video game SpongeBob SquarePants featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom.
