  • The set is loosely based on the episode "Plankton!", Template:Data:Links's first appearance of the show.
  • This is the only SpongeBob set that isn't minifigure scale.
  • This is also the only SpongeBob set not to include a SpongeBob minifigure, although he is the set.
  • Its name "Build-A-Bob", is a parody of a real life toy retailer Build-A-Bear.
