Synopsis

The episode starts with SpongeBob and Patrick saying ready, then yelling, and then swinging from a vine and crashing into each other. They do it again, but this time, they crash into Squidward, making him flat, then breaking him like a puzzle, and SpongeBob and Patrick reconstruct him., and when they put the last piece, Squidward continues to move. And asks them what are they doing. So SpongeBob tells him that there trying to earn their Danger badge. But Squidward flicks a piece of chewed gum off the page and its revealed to be the ranger badge, not the danger badge, and SpongeBob inhales the book into his mouth. So Patrick asks if Squidward has a ranger badge, and he said he tried for once.

Then it zooms in on his eyes moving rapidly, while we hear sounds of different things, and he says to never go for a ranger badge. So he says that they could do something easy, and presses Spongebob's nose to release the book. He says the "playing dead badge", but they say no, so he says the going home badge, which they refuse, so Squidward says the making friends badge, and to get it, they need four signatures, so they ask Squidward to be there friend, but he disappears quickly., dropping the book, so SpongeBob and Patrick ask each other to be their friends, but SpongeBob says that it can't count since there already friends, so Patrick says that the friendship is interfering with the badge getting, so SpongeBob says that there's lots of potential friends at the camp, so Patrick agrees, but he says if SpongeBob gets in his way, he will destroy him.

Then they head towards the Yacht cabin, with Lady Upturn and the other campers. Lady Upturn tells them that deliveries are in the back. Then SpongeBob and Patrick ask them to be their friends, so lady upturn asks how much its going to be. The Pink monkeyfish offers $1000, and the green monkeyfish offers 2000$. Patrick asks if he hears 3, so lady upturn gives 3000$ and all the jewelry shes wearing. SpongeBob asks for them to start because he says that there friendship is free. So the pink monkeyfish says he's going to be sick, and lady upturn asks them to leave before they "catch" what the "beggars" have. After they leave, Mr Krabs jumps into the pile of gems and money and tells them that he'll be there friend, but lady upturn says no, so she explodes the gems and money, and reveals Mr. Krabs Wireframe.

Then it switches to SpongeBob and Patrick going to the jock's cabin, and we see them exercising. SpongeBob asks them if they can be their friends, and Larry says sure, if they do a single chin-up. They're seen struggling for some time, and after 9 hours, we see SpongeBob and Patrick's arms are fully extended from the bar, to the ground. Then Larry says that the gym's closed, and that they will need more luck next time. Then they start playing with their long arms. Then they jump from lightning that comes from the grass, and find a scary-looking cabin. SpongeBob says that its called the trawler cabin, or the weirdo cabin. They knock on the door, but it opens eerily. SO they look in it, and go in quietly, scared. As they look around, they see a little fish-like creature floating. She says that they have to be vary brave to enter the cabin, but then, an pink anglefish shows up, and says they have to be very foolish to enter. Then Patrick jumps into SpongeBobs arms as they both say that there foolish.

They both introduce themselves as Roxy, and introduce a pink blobfish named Jimmy. He tells SpongeBob to shake, and SpongeBob says that they are. When he lets go, he has some slime with him, and jimmy says that it tastes like maple syrup, so Patrick licks SpongeBob's hand. Then they back away, and as soon as they do that, Patrick gets stuck in a spider web. Then a spider comes out, and says that her name is Preda Tory. And that she spun the web that morning, and gets Patrick out of the web. and he asks he if she does free alterations. SO they back around and say who is the cabin counselor. So Preda Tory calls out a "kid" and a sleeping bag comes out, which reveals to have Kidferatu in it. Then SpongeBob yells so much, that he shrinks, so Patrick blows on him and he regrows. As they leave saying that its past their bedtime, they notice badges on the wall, and asks the group how they got them. Roy says that they got them from doing night camp activities. So SpongeBob and Patrick say that they want night badges. So Preda Tory said that their in luck, so that they can help them, as they laugh nervously.

Then they are seen outside by the camp lake. Then jimmy says that the first activity is Swamp Ape Fishing. Then SpongeBob is surprised because there's a swamp ape in the lake they all swim in while Patrick puts bananas on a fishing rod. So Preda Tory says that there are many more things in the lake other than kids. Then Patrick says he got one, and its big. Then Patrick is is pulled into the lake, and SpongeBob follows him. Then, they get sucked into the lake, an ape comes out of the lake and pulls SpongeBob and Patrick towards him, and puts them back on land. Then mini Roxy says congratulations, that they earned the badge. Then, SpongeBob says he got what the challenge was about, the ape fishes for them, and Kidferatu gives them their badges, and they get scared again. Then jump in excitement for their badges. Then we find them all of them in a clearing. Then Jimmy says that the next activity is Nocturnal jelly milking.

Then jimmy gives them a jar, and that they need to fill the jar with jam and the badge is theirs. So Patrick gets a jellyfish and SpongeBob starts getting the jam into the jar. But jimmy said that the "puny" jellyfish wont work, so he recommends a jellyfish above them. But its many times bigger than them, and they get eaten. Then it leaves. Then Roxy asks what's more effective, horror or terror. So Jimmy says that he likes revoltion. And Preda Tory says that she is particularly towards dread. Then the big jellyfish comes back and spits SpongeBob and Patrick back out, and gives them a jar full of jam. Then they are somewhere else, and jimmy says that its the last activity of the night. SpongeBob says that he thinks that a horrible monster will catch them or eat them, but jimmy said that those were great , but their last task is playing the game of "sardines". Then he says that if its the game where one person hides, and when someone finds them, they hide with them, and the finder hides, and it repeats until the last person finds them all. So jimmy said that Kidferatu will hide and they will all seek.

Then an outhouse is shown, and Patrick passes by it. Then opens the door and finds Kidferatu and hides with him. Then his eyes turn yellow and acts like hes going to bite SpongeBob, then Preda Tory found them. And then, Preda Tory eyes turns red with Kidferatu looking like there going to bite him, then Roxy enters and her eyes turn green, and jimmy does the same thing they do, but this time, his eyes don't turn a color. Then Patrick is outside and opens the outhouses's door and they all are on top of SpongeBob, while SpongeBob has fake teeth on him, and everyone takes them away quickly. Then Roxy says that since Patrick is the loser, hes the winner, and gives them a badge. Then they see the sunrise appear in the sky. And as we see in a rock, Roxy, Jimmy, Preda Tory, and Kidferatu disapear, and as they look back, they are not their anymore, and both are sad.

Then they go to their cabin and yell for Squidward and Sandy, and that they want to show them their night badges. But Squidward said that their no such thing as night badges. Then they show their badges, but which have turned into leaves with pins in them. Sandy said that they nearly had her for a second. So Squidward asks where they were all night, So SpongeBob says that they were in the trawler cabin, or the weirdo cabin, but sandy says that that's what the other kids call their cabin, and Squidward says he wonders why, and SpongeBob and Patrick play with their long arms again. After some time, they go back to the trawler cabin, and the cabin is empty, except for the rocking chair, and bunk beds. Then they notice their badge book with 5 signatures. Then they keep saying weirdos while jumping, and something catches them, which was the swamp ape. And they ask him if he'll be their friend, as the episode ends.

• The Wilhelm Scream can be heard when Squidward is thinking.
• On Paramount+, this episode is listed as "A Cabin of Curiosities."
• A kid version of Nosferatu appears in this episode, by the name of "Kid-feratu."
• Despite the members of Trawler Cabin disintegrating as the sun rises, Roxy, Preda Tory, and Kidferatu are all seen in the daylight in later episodes such as Camp SpongeBob and Outhouse Outrage.
• Mr krabs breaks the 4th wall by showing his wireframe design when the money and gems expleded

Errors

• When Template:Data:Links says "I will destroy you!," his eyebrows are missing.
• When squidward shows the making friends badge for the first time, there are already 3 of the 5 sigantures in the book.
• For a split second, spongebobs eyelashes disapear
