Mrs. Puff mentions her mother, Mama Puff, for the first time.
The episode's plot is similar to a scene from its original predecessor, "My Pretty Seahorse," when SpongeBob hides Mystery in a cupboard from Mr. Krabs to think that he has a seahorse in the kitchen.
