Captain Bart is a character who appears in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. He is the captain of the pirate crew that go watch The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie during the movie.
Description
Captain Bart is a human with brown hair, a mustache, and a beard. He has a black eye patch over his right eye, and has a green parrot sitting on his right shoulder. He wears a stereotypical pirate captain costume, with a pirate hat, white shirt, brown coat, black pants, and a pair of brown boots. He has a large belt hung over his right shoulder, and has a long scabbard that he keeps a sword in.
Role in series
The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie
When Squinty spies Bonesy rowing back to the ship with a treasure chest, he warns the others of Bonesy's arrival. The news quickly spreads around the ship, and Captain Bart arrives to investigate. Bonesy and the chest are lifted onto the ship, and he opens the chest for Captain Bart, who is at awe of the treasure inside; tickets for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. He and his crew sing the SpongeBob SquarePants Theme Song as they travel to the Surf Theater, where Captain Bart shows the usher their tickets as he and his crew raid the snack bar for food, before barging into one of the rooms and seating themselves to watch the movie.
Bart and his crew are later seen when Template:Data:Links and Template:Data:Links completely dry up at Shell City, and they start to cry over their deaths. However, Bart's parrot tells him to look at the movie, and Bart points out the tear of the Goofy Goobers. Said tear short-circuits an outlet and activates Shell City's sprinklers, reviving SpongeBob and Patrick as Captain Bart and his crew cheer wildly.
Captain Bart and his crew appear one last time in a scene after the credits. As Bart talks about David Hasselhoff, the usher tells the pirates that they have to leave, and Bart threatens her with a sword. The usher is unfazed by the threat, and Bart gives in as he and his crew begrudgingly leave the theater.
