Carolyn Lawrence (born February 13, 1967; age 58) is an American actress and voice artist, best known for her role as Sandy Cheeks in SpongeBob SquarePants.

She is also well known for playing as Cindy Vortex in Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius franchise. She has also had minor roles in a few other cartoons, movies, and video games. One of the video game voice roles she is known for is the voice of Ashley Graham in Resident Evil 4.

When she was a child, Carolyn would get angry like Sandy when people laughed at her. The character sort of merged with her life.^[1]
During the audition in the conference room, which was awkward to her, they left the microphone on the table and they were not in a booth. It was awkward as she had never done that before. There was the mic and Stephen Hillenburg and there was a fly flying around. The fly landed on the paper she had and she killed it. Doug Lawrence said it was a Sandy type of moment in the interview.^[2]
