- When she was a child, Carolyn would get angry like Sandy when people laughed at her. The character sort of merged with her life.[1]
- During the audition in the conference room, which was awkward to her, they left the microphone on the table and they were not in a booth. It was awkward as she had never done that before. There was the mic and Stephen Hillenburg and there was a fly flying around. The fly landed on the paper she had and she killed it. Doug Lawrence said it was a Sandy type of moment in the interview.[2]
