Template:Infobox PM "Chief Taravana" was composed by Kapono Beamer. The main instruments being played in the piece include a steel guitar, an acoustic guitar, and bass. The track plays higher-pitched and slightly faster in all of its season 1 appearances.

Trivia

"Dying for Pie" is the only episode to play the entire track.
The ending for this track in "Dying for Pie" is repeated once.
This track, along with "Hawaiian Holiday" and "Farewell to the Islands" are the only tracks composed by Kapono Beamer that played in the show and were never added to APM.
There is a similar track to this song called "Sweet Manea", also composed by Beamer, with similar motifs, meter, and instrumentation.
