The episode was first mentioned in a tweet by Paul Tibbitt on November 14, 2014. The image of a script listed "Dueling Picnics" as a former title. The episode script was written by Jack Pendarvis and the story is by Mr. Lawrence.^[1] On July 4, 2015, Sherm Cohen confirmed that the episode is real.^[2]
