The Dictionary is an object that is mentioned in the episode "Christmas Who?," appears in the episodes "Krusty Love" and "The Abrasive Side," is mentioned in the comic SpongeFunnies (SpongeBob Comics No. 8), and appears in the episodes "Sharks vs. Pods," "The Whole Tooth," and "Scavenger Pants."

While Spongebob is speaking gibberish, Mrs. Puff grabs a dictionary and reads it to understand what Spongebob is saying.

Mr. Krabs uses it to look up the definition of the word "Overtime" after SpongeBob mentions it. He becomes horrified of the word.
Later in the episode, Mr. Krabs appears reading it from a far away distance using a stick.
