Dr. Sea Bear is a character who made a one-off appearance in the episode "Pick Patrick's Path." He served as the doctor who treated Patrick's wounds before mauling him.

Description

Dr. Sea Bear appears to be a standard sea bear dressed in standard doctor-garb. He behaves as both a civilized, intelligent being as well as a rabid animal, as evidenced when he attacked Patrick after successfully treating his wounds.

Role in series

"Pick Patrick's Path"

In the episode "Pick Patrick's Path," in which a group of fish voted on Patrick's next course of action, the audience was given the choice to have patrick visit a hospital or be mauled by a sea bear after burning himself on hot coals. The audience chose to send patrick to the hospital, and shortly after arriving, he was introduced to Dr. Sea Bear. After identifying that Patrick was his patient, he perscribed him an anti-bacterial ointment and a daily dose of a vicious sea bear attack. The doctor then proceeded to chase him down a hallway, where the audience was presented with the choice to either have him escape via elevator or stairs. Due to a final vote coming in too late, Patrick was mauled by the doctor. After mauling Patrick, he played the drums on his unconscious body and then proceeded to reapply his bandages and place him in a wheelchair. The doctor then wheeled him to the elevator, and after the doors opened to an empty shaft, the doctor tossed him inside.

• Dr. Sea Bear is the only sea bear in the series who seems to be of a higher intelligence.
• Dr. Sea Bear was designed and boarded by the character designer, animator, storyboard artist, and furry know as Andy "Sharps" Schedman.
