- Running Gag(s): Plankton being run over; Mr. Krabs breaking holes in his restaurant.
- It is unknown why Mr. Krabs didn't use the microphone SpongeBob bought when his was broken.
- The sides of the Krusty Krab are wooden instead of glass in this episode.
- The Mayor seen in "The Great Snail Race" is shown rather than the one in "Sponge-Cano!"
- The title card music is similar to or the same as "Frozen Face Off."
- It may be hard to realize, but there was another drive thru during the few seasons up until the episode, "Driven to Tears."
