Emergency Mother-In-Law Program (E.M.I.L.P.) is Karen's mother-in-law who only physically appears in the episode "Single Cell Anniversary." She scolds Plankton for making Karen cry after he sings her a romantic love song as her anniversary gift. She hates Plankton and wishes Karen had married an ATM machine.
Description
She is a program who is similar to Karen. She makes an angry face when seen and she has light green glasses, a light green nose and a light green mouth.

Creation and development
She may have originally been designed to be a car alarm that Plankton was going to originally mention in "Spy Buddies." This character was mentioned to be Karen's Mother-in-law,[1] but this may have been a mistake and was referring to Karen's mother.
