The Easter Bunny is a character who is initially mentioned in the episode "Christmas Who?" before making picture and physical appearances in the book Show Me the Bunny! and eventually being mentioned and pictured in The Patrick Star Show episode "Best Served Cold" and making another physical appearance in The Patrick Star Show episode "Face/Off-Model."
Appearance
Show Me the Bunny!
"Best Served Cold"
"Face/Off-Model"
The Easter Bunny is a dark pink rabbit with a light pink muzzle and stomach and a small tuft of orange hair. He has blue pupils. He wears a brown vest with green lining.
Role in series
SpongeBob SquarePants
"Christmas Who?"/"Twas the Night Before Spongemas"
Template:Data:Links mentions the Easter Bunny after Template:Data:Links asks him, when he is dressed as Santa Claus, where his big and round belly is. Squidward replies with, "Uhh, I loaned them to the Easter Bunny."
The Patrick Star Show
"Best Served Cold"
"Face/Off-Model"
Template:Data:Links tells Template:Data:Links that it'll take a Christmas miracle for him to go back on-model, to which she replies that today is Easter. They turn on the TV and watch the Easter Bunny tracker, to which they find out the Easter Bunny is trapped inside Dr. Plankenstein's castle, where Dr. Plankenstein and his minions are determined to preform an autopsy on him and find out how he lays eggs.
Patrick and Squidina burst into the castle and save the Easter Bunny from his captors, who gives him an egg that hatches into a monstrous bunny. It attacks Patrick and turns his face into a porcelain doll. Patrick tries to cut off the Bunny's foot for luck. The Easter Bunny instead gives him a chocolate foot, which Patrick eats and finds a fortune inside. Patrick and Squidina head to the time closet, while the Easter Bunny fires eggs from his butt at Plankenstein and his crew, who run out of their castle.
At the end of the episode, the Easter Bunny shows up again to wish the audience a Happy Easter with the rest of the Star family (sans Template:Data:Links).
Role in books
Show Me the Bunny!
SpongeBob's Easter Parade
Trivia
- Initially, the Easter Bunny was designed to be animated in 2D like the rest of the series' characters before the decision to animate him in stop-motion like the Plankenstein's Castle segments was made.
- His final design is slightly similar to the Energizer Bunny.
