Exploding Gum appears to resemble regular gum. The box for the Exploding Gum is light aquamarine in color and has the words "EXPLODING GUM" written in red print with a yellow explosion banner, with a red border.

Role in series

Template:Data:Links and Template:Data:Links had gone to the Palace of Pranks to find some gags to play on people. Exploding Gum is first seen when Frank showed SpongeBob and Patrick different kinds of gag toys. Frank manages to trick Patrick into chewing a piece of the Exploding Gum, which literally blows his head up. It is not seen again after that.

• The Exploding Gum is a reference to the famous shocking gum where the victim gets shocked when attempting to get a piece of gum.
  • It could also be a reference to the infamous dirt gum, where the gum looks normal but tastes like dirt.
