Description

Air is an invisible gas made of hydrogen and nitrogen and oxygen. It makes up the Earth's atmosphere and provides oxygen of all known living organisms, and it is vital for all known forms of life.

Role in series

Air makes its first appearance in "Tea at the Treedome" with Sandy's treedome, as it is full of air. It also appears in many subsequent episodes with said location, however it also appears in many other episodes as well as in Patchy's scenes.

"Tea at the Treedome"

It appears inside Sandy's treedome when SpongeBob and Patrick. Both of them begin to suffocate since they need water to survive, but Sandy gives them water helmets after she realizes that they need water to survive in her treedome.

"Bubble Buddy"

It makes a brief appearance in Sandy's treedome when SpongeBob looks for her, but she's away for the winter.

"Pressure"

It appears when SpongeBob, Patrick, Mr. Krabs, and Sandy dive out of the water onto fresh land.

"Whale Watching"

It appears when Pearl gets beached onto the surface and Squidward has to save her.

"SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout"

It appears throughout the whole episode when SpongeBob and Patrick tour the surface world.
