It is usually depicted as a yellow alarm clock (although sometimes seen in different other colors such as gray, blue, and purple) with a ringer that starts ringing the two small bells on top of it, and a wind-up key to set the time. Its original design featured a more jagged octagon shape, the clock part having a blue color, and everything else being colored yellow. A redesign introduced in "[[I ♥ Dancing]]" depicts it more round shaped and having more varieties of color (although the original design is still used occasionally). The alarm clocks also seems to be sentient as shown in "Rise and Shine" and "[[Truth or Square]]."

This makes Patrick annoyed, so he asks the [[Pillow SpongeBob]] instead on where the ringing is coming from, which the alarm clock proceeds to ring its way towards there. However, the alarm clock gets crushed by the pillow SpongeBob and Patrick thinks this means it is time for breakfast. As Patrick attempts to "save" the [[Canned Coral]] he accidentally hits the alarm clock with the can, causing it to stop ringing. Patrick then proceeds to unknowingly eat the alarm clock (as it was covered in the food), and it starts ringing again on his tongue. Description
